You may read it here: https://datastorageasia.com/veeam-and-hpe-expand-private-cloud-innovation-for-ai-and-modern-virtualized-workloads/.

The actual news is reasonable: validated designs for HPE Private Cloud AI, partner-ready packaging for HPE Morpheus-based private cloud deployments, and HPE Services piloting Veeam’s new Data and AI Trust Maturity Model. These are sensible, and nothing about them are objectionable. Unfortunately, much of it is also not particularly new.

Veeam’s DataAI Command Platform—announced previously and reintroduced here with considerable enthusiasm—is described as “the industry’s first unified data and AI trust infrastructure for the agentic era.” Yawn! This claim has become a standard talking point in Veeam press releases that it is beginning to acquire the quality of a mantra. Whether it remains accurate as Google, Microsoft, and a growing roster of competitors build their own governance and data trust layers is a question the press release does not pause to consider.

The “Data and AI Trust Maturity Model”—assessed across four pillars called Understood, Secured, Resilient, and Unleashed—is the kind of framework that sounds compelling in a boardroom and raises questions in a technical review. What does “Unleashed” mean as a governance maturity stage, exactly? It suggests either very confident data management or a labrador that has escaped the garden. The press release does not clarify.

To be fair, the migration guide for moving vSphere VMs to HPE Morpheus is genuinely practical, and validated designs that reduce deployment complexity have real customer value.

The technology direction is correct. The execution is credible. The language, however, could do with a maturity model of its own.

Veeam and HPE have announced an expanded partnership at HPE Discover, and the press release that accompanies it is a genuinely impressive feat of enterprise marketing density.
